Basics
A BubbleTweet is a short video (currently up to 30 secs) that plays in our floating Bubble video player over your BubbleTweet page... and when it's over, it pops and goes away.
Designed to be both fun and simple to use, it let's you to step out from behind your text-only twitter environment and say 'hello' to your followers in very personal and engaging way.
Tweeple have been using them for all sorts of things...but you might want to use them to inform your followers about things that might otherwise be very difficult to do with text-only...it's really up to you.
BubbleTweet does not require and registration or signing up to work, simply enter the Twitter username you want to place a
BubbleTweet message on from our front page...and away you go!
No, BubbleTweets NEVER automatically appear when someone visits your Twitter page, instead, they ALWAYS require a user to click on your
BubbleTweet URL to initiate and begin playing.
Whether this URL link is on a different site...like our BubbleTweet main page or within your own Twitter page, they always require URL link to play.
Upon creating a BubbleTweet message, you will be provided with a unique BubbleTweet URL that you can then Tweet out to your
followers as in a normal Tweet. Other ways include adding the URL to your Bio/Web area of your Twitter page, as well as DM'img or
emailing it directly to one of your followers.
You might also want to place the BubbleTweet URL on your website instead of linking directly to your Twitter page...This will enable anyone who clicks on it to see your personal message first, before it redirect to your normal Twitter page.
It's important to know that BubbleTweets do not actually get "embeded" into your live Twitter page and require you to click on your unique BubblTweet URL to work.
Yes you can, however, we strongly recommend you don't upload non-personal ads or videos...as it goes against
the personal nature of what BubbleTweet and Twitter are intended to be used for.
We can almost assure you that if you start using BubbleTweet to show video ads, many of your followers will probably stop following you, although ultimately, it depends on your followers agenda.
BubbleTweet was designed to work specifically in Twitter only... If you want to place a video on your website or blog, we suggest you look into two of our other services:
- BubbleGuru.com
- BubbleComment.com
That's a personal choice of course...some Tweeple create new ones everyday, while others have only done it once.
But a good way of looking at it...is that just they way you wouldn't tweet out a single text message to your followers and then never tweet anything again...BubbleTweet's should probably be used anytime you want to inform, share, or show something to your followers in a way that you wouldn't be able to accomplish by using 140 characters of text alone.
It helps to think of BubbleTweet as a compliment to what Twitter is...not a replacement, or one time video stunt to grab attention. Used correctly, BubbleTweet can be a powerful tool for directly engaging your Twitter followers.
Currently, BubbleTweet is only designed to work within web browsers...however, we are actively working on that function.
No. BubbleTweets only start if someone clicks on your specific BubbleTweet URL link, in which case it then auto-plays when a BubbleTweet page is loaded.
Yes. We encourage you to use it as much as you like to connect with your followers in a way that you couldn't
otherwise do with the 140 characters of text.
However, in an effort to reduce possible BubbleTweet spamming, we do limit the number of times you can create a BubbleTweet per day.
All BubbleTweets created under any given Twitter username are immediately archived and always available for review by reviewing the specific BubbleTweet channel for the Twitter username:
http://www.bubbletweet.com/channel/[twittername]
At this point, all BubbleTweets will remain active indefinently and as noted above, can always be viewed on your specific channel page.
Simply sign-in using the management link at the top of the BubbleTweet home page. Once you sign-in you will be shown your channel page with last BubbleTweet shown as active.
Simply delete the video you want removed from public viewing.
This can sometimes be an issue in which a camera can't be connected to more then one application at a time.
The solution, is usually just to close any current applications that might be using the webcam or camera already and simply try again.
Please see the tips page for specific help on video recording.
Our system is designed to work specifically with 320x240 sized video, so if you upload video that is not already cropped to our system, it may become distorted.
If your video is 640 x 480, you can this quite easily in most video programs like Quicktime without having to re-render the video.
This seems to be an issue with the IV50 Codec that Movie Maker uses which is incompatible with our service at this time.
We are working on a solution to this isse.
The best advice we can offer at this time is to see if you can change your video codec to be a Window Media Video (WMV) and try uploading that instead.
Yes. Flip cams are great...and allow you to record which you can then just upload for use in your BubbleTweet.
In addition, many of today's digitial snap cameras have the ability to capture video as well. Simply record a video message with it and then upload your AVI file for BubbleTweet use. We recommend you set your camera to record 320x240 at 15 FPS.
